That’s a sure sign of spring. We’ve seen them come out for the first time in past years as early as January and late as the end of February.
Our rock chucks beat out Punxsutawney Phil, that Easterner, for predicting the length of winter.
Hopefully our marmots like what they saw today coming out of their dens. Sometimes they pop up and go back into their dens until weather conditions get better.
