Lovers of sports, scavenging and local history, don’t miss the “Tour of Boise” adventure

This cool annual event, hosted by the Bogus Basin Nordic Team, is an action-packed scavenger hunt celebrating Boise in its sesquicentennial year.

The hunt begins at 11 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 29. It starts and finishes at Julia Davis Park, Shelter #1.

The hunt is open to all ages. Participants can walk, stroll or run as they test their wits on local sites, sights and more.

Here’s how it works:

Participants follow a 4 km route using their “clue card” map to find unique public art, architecture and history in downtown Boise.

They jot their answers to questions on their maps. At the finish, entrants check their answers against official answer signs. Top two fastest finishers with most correct answers receive awards while all entrants are entered in a raffle.

Everyone receives a Tour of Boise T-shirt and healthy snacks afterward!

Sign up online:  (by Sept. 23, fees go up after that date).
