If you’re looking for a high-energy dog who is as sweet as she looks, Smokie may be your girl.
The 1-year-old Border Collie-Australian Shepherd mix is a working dog — so she needs a family that can keep her busy and out of trouble. She already knows many commands, including sit, shake and come, but she’s still working on house training.
Smokie, who is a medium-sized dog (less than 60 pounds), would rather play games with you than play with toys. She walks well on a lead and maintains eye contact.
Shelter staff recommend that she go to a home that has no small dogs or cats. Want to meet Smokie, call the shelter to schedule a play date, 794-0944.
