Longterm, bipartisan debt solutions: Watch the McClure Center symposium here

Idaho Sen. Mike Crapo and Congressman Mike Simpson joined Virginia Democratic Sen. Mark Warner, colorful fiscal commission leader Alan Simpson and national deficit expert Maya MacGuiness on Idaho Public Television last night.

The five talked about the kind of longterm, bipartisan solutions that they think must be hatched to solve the country’s growing debt problem. The issues are serious and worth learning about, but if you need some added incentive, it’s worth it just to watch Alan Simpson – as many folks said at the end of the night (and at least one of the participants mentioned during the show), he says what everybody is thinking.

It was officially the only time I’ve had anyone throw the “bras d’honneur” my way on live television!
