Boise’s Public Works Department and Ada County Highway District are teaming up for “Recycle the Fall.”
The agencies will demonstrate the right way to recycle leaves at the Wednesday event. “Recycle the Fall” aims to teach people why recycling leaves is a good thing, why setting them out properly helps collection work and why it’s a bad idea to rake leaves into the street. Hint: It can clog storm drains, increasing the chances of flooding.
The event goes from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at 1209 E. State St. in Boise’s East End between Locust and Pierce streets.
