The Boise State football team’s 2015 home game against Washington has been moved to the opening week and will air on ESPN. The game will be either Thursday, Sept. 3, or Friday, Sept. 4.

The game originally was set for Sept. 19.

The scheduling change extends the Broncos’ run of high-profile season openers: 2009 vs. Oregon, 2010 vs. Virginia Tech (Landover, Md.), 2011 vs. Georgia (Atlanta), 2012 at Michigan State, 2013 at Washington, 2014 vs. Mississippi (Atlanta) and 2015 vs. Washington.

The 2015 schedule begins vs. Washington, at BYU, TBA and at Virginia. The Broncos still need to find a home game for that schedule. They may have to go with a Football Championship Subdivision school because they don’t have an opening for an away game until 2020, which makes a home-and-home deal difficult.

Here are the future schedules:

vs. Ole Miss in Atlanta (Thursday, Aug. 28)
at Connecticut (Sept. 13)
vs. Louisiana (Sept. 20)
vs. BYU (Oct. 25)
