On the menu: H.J. took Jani to Jack in the Box for a bacon cheeseburger and fries
H.J. and Jani enjoyed lunch at Cassia Park. The park was bustling with kids and people walking dogs but Jani kept her eye on the prize. H.J. only had to tell that girl to sit once and for every bite after that she patiently waited. At one point H.J. was fumbling with the ketchup and Jani thought he was taking too long so she lovingly put her paws on the table to see if she could help! After lunch she enjoyed a nice walk making several friends on the walking path. Jani was quite curious about all the activity at the park and was content to sit under a tree and observe.
More about Jani from the Idaho Humane Society:
American Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer Mix – Female – 18 Months – 50 lbs.
This is Jani! She is a very athletic and agile pit bull mix. She loves to play with toys and tennis balls. Jani is very attentive with food and treats so she should train fairly easily. She has a lot of energy and obedience training will be necessary to make her a highly functioning and loved member of your family. She appears to be house trained. Jani would benefit from crate training as well. Dogs love to have a crate to go in and feel safe. Jani is OK with other dogs, but can overwhelm them with her vigor and energy level so be sure to supervise. She will be a great dog for an active family, but may be a little too much for toddlers. Jani’s coat is easy to care for, just wash occasionally and she will be beautiful.
