Inversion, no inversion. Take your pick.

Kind of cruel to post this when the weekend’s almost over, but just a reminder that the inversion isn’t every place. There’s lots of sun at Lake Cascade, and despite the thermometer hitting minus-4 on the drive up, it was a beautiful, sunny day on the lake Saturday, and we were pealing layers of clothes by late morning.

We were ice fishing, but use any excuse you want to get up the mountains and out of the fog. Even if you’re not a snow sports person, it really does you some good to get out in the sun shine. There are many places around Lake Cascade where you can just go for a walk. No skis or snowshoes required.

Winter weather can be tough, or it can be a good excuse to get outdoors and have fun. The choice is yours.
