Idaho Horse Expo comes to Nampa, April 18-20

It’s the 28th year for this annual equine event presented by The Idaho Horse Council.

It takes place from Friday through Sunday at the Ford Idaho Horse Park in Nampa, 16200 Idaho Center Blvd.

The expo opens at 10 a.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. It stays open until 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and until 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Kids get in free on Easter, courtesy of the Appaloosa Horse Club.

Events include clinics, seminars, stallions on parade, dressage events, horse dancing, and much more.

Here’s a bit of horse trivia to ponder: Idaho has an estimated 210,000 equines, including riding horses, draft horses, ponies, miniature horses, donkeys, mules, wild horses and other types of animals.
