Idaho Beer and Wine Distributors Assn. name winning student videos in ‘I Don’t Drink’ campaign

The Idaho Beer and Wine Distributors Association (IBWDA) has named the winners of the 2014 IDon’tDrink.com student video contest. The winning videos, which can be viewed at www.Idontdrink.com, were selected from student submissions from across the state. The winning videos are as follows:

  • Most Votes, with 5,057 votes, “Drinking Ruins Futures” Benny Sackett of Team Future, from Les Bois Junior High School in Boise, Idaho
  • Campaign’s Choice, 1st Place, “The Broken Brother” by Stevie Youngerman IV of Team Stephenson Studios, from Les Bois Junior High School in Boise, Idaho
  • Campaign’s Choice, 2nd Place, “I Don’t Drink” by Jordyn Kronenberg of Team Tiger TV News, from Timberlake High School in Spirit Lake, Idaho
  • Campaign’s Choice, 3rd Place, “The Consequence Team TEAM” by Taylor Wilkins, Kennadee Conner, and Lonnie Barrieros of Team Dramatized, from Grangeville High School in Grangeville, Idaho

The IDontDrink.com video contest is a statewide effort by the IBWDA to encourage Idaho teens to choose not to drink underage. The ongoing video production campaign is open to all Idaho students grades K-12, asking them to create their own video with the anti-underage drinking theme and showcasing their reasons to choose not to drink underage and instead focus on obtaining personal goals such as excellence in academics and athletics. Prizes for winning videos include an IPad, IPod, and t-shirts to name a few.

The IDontDrink.com website features student interviews and radio and TV announcements highlighting their reason to choose not to drink while underage. IDontDrink.com also has information and resources for parents and students.
