Homeless Veteran Stand Down is Saturday in Boise

The annual event, which reaches out to veterans who are homeless or who are in danger of becoming homeless, and offers them a wide range of services, including free clothes, medical screenings, food and more, will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday in the Mountain Cove gymnasium at the Boise VA Medical Center, 500 W. Fort St. in Boise.

Proof of veteran status will be required for services and can be in the form of a VA identification, DD214 discharge form, retired military identification, or by verbally describing veteran status to event staff.
