Gov. Otter does PSA to promote awareness of Alzheimer’s help in Idaho

In January, we told you about a statewide push to educate Idahoans about Alzheimer’s disease and get the word out about resources.

Since then, the Legislature passed House Concurrent Resolution 34, endorsing  new state plan to address Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

As we noted in January’s story, Gov. Butch Otter was interested in helping get the word out and had tentatively agreed to do one or more public service announcements. Those PSAs are now airing on TV and radio.

Watch the PSA featuring Gov. Otter.

The Idaho Alzheimer’s Planning Group has also distributed flyers promoting the state’s 2-1-1 Idaho CareLine and they have launched a new Web site with information on Alzheimer’s resources in Idaho.
