Gear: Shock-cord repair kit easy to use

kitWhen the shock cords snap or rip in your tent or rain shelter poles, you’ve got problems. If the poles aren’t attached with the shock cord, they become time consuming to put together.

That’s why a little, inexpensive shock-cord repair kit comes in handy on your campouts or river trips.

I like gear. I’m a gear nut. But I’m not good with repairs. I thought I would have to send the poles to the company for repairs. That would put the sun shade out of use for who knows how long?

So when I easily repaired the shock cords on the poles of my Kelty Sun Shade with a repair kit I found at Boise Army Navy, you know it has to be easy.

I used Texsport Shock Cord Repair Kit, which costs $3.97. It took about 20 minutes.
