The Boise Police Department, the Ada County Sheriff’s Office, Crime Stoppers of Southwest Idaho and volunteers have partnered to offer three free public safety services on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Boise Towne Square Mall, 350 N. Milwaukee Street.
Fingerprinting for children: From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the mall’s center court volunteers will be on hand to fingerprint kids, creating a document for use in emergency situations.
Shred important documents: From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Dillard’s north parking lot you can bring important documents like tax papers, checks, check stubs, bank statements, financial records or anything with personal information on it to be shredded and disposed of. Please limit your items to five boxes or bags per vehicle. Donations accepted at this event support Crime Stoppers of Southwest Idaho.
Unused and unwanted drug disposal: From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Dillard’s north parking lot you can turn in your unused or expired medications for safe disposal. Prescription drug abuse is a serious problem in our community, especially among young people. One source of illicit prescription drugs can be unused medications at home. Another prescription drop-off will take place at the same day and time at the Garden City Fred Meyer at 5425 W. Chinden Blvd.
