Free concerts today and Thursday: indie singer Cate Le Bon and blues shredder Matthew Curry

Everybody loves a free concert. Here are a couple worth noting in the next two days:

  • And 18-year-old blues-rocker Matthew Curry — opening for the Steve Miller Band and the Doobie Brothers this summer — will tear up the Sapphire Room at the Riverside Hotel on Thursday starting at 6:30 p.m. You’ll be asked for a voluntary donation at this Boise Blues Society-organized gig, and trust me, you’ll probably want to make one. I wrote a bit more about Curry and the show in my Sunday column.
