The life and legacy of Fred Norman will be honored at a memorial at 4 p.m. Aug. 18 at the Velma V. Morrison Center, 2201 Cesar Chavez Lane, Boise.
Norman helped shape the cultural life of Boise from the 1970s-2000 by working tirelessly on creative projects, such as planning and building the Morrison Center with Velma Morrison, and inspiring theater artists, athletes and others to follow their dreams.
Friends also created a scholarship fund in is name at Boise State University where Norman taught theater, volunteered to coach football players, and worked as an administrator.
Any one who knew him is invited to attend and share their memories. It’s open seating and parking is free.

The Fred Norman Memorial Scholarship will be for theater arts majors in their junior or senior year who have demonstrated outstanding commitment, leadership, and achievement.

They also will be accepted at the memorial.
