The American flags are back on the lamp posts along pretty Harrison Blvd. in Boise.
If you recall, some lowlifes stole them sometime during the wee hours of July Fourth and they were never returned.
The State of Idaho flags remained but you had to imagine Old Glory for the rest of the Independence Day weekend.
Calls are in to see if the Harrison Boulevard Historic District Neighborhood Association had to purchase the 27 new flags to replace the stolen ones, or whether some benefactor came to the rescue.
Nonetheless, on the drive in this morning I saw balloons aloft in the sky and flags waving on the lamp posts. What more could one ask heading into the summer’s end weekend of Labor Day?
Kudos to all for keeping tradition alive and well.
