Five Things You Should Do This Weekend in Boise

1. LET TMP ROCK YOU
Boise-based dance company Trey McIntyre Project has put together an ambitious fall show, which will be performed at 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday at the Morrison Center. [Tickets] Tap dancing to the music of Queen? Something tells me that this, like Queen, will be killer — even without any “Fat Bottomed Girls.”

2. HIT THE ‘THRIFT SHOP’
Hip-hop act Macklemore and Ryan Lewis has exploded in the past year thanks to hot songs such as “Thrift Shop” and “Same Love.” They’ll be at Taco Bell Arena tonight.

3. TAP THE KNIT
A dozen Idaho breweries are slated to pour three beers apiece at Tap the Knit, a tasting party Saturday with college football on the TVs and classic rock roaring in the background. The event is being held in conjunction with Idaho Brewers United, so it’s definitely a worthy endeavor if you want to support local beer. Get advance tickets here.

4. GO BOO AT ZOO
Granted, the idea of this many squealing kiddies in one place is arguably more terrifying Freddy Krueger. But if you have children of trick-or-treating age, keep reminding  yourself: They’ll be teenage zombies soon. Enjoy moments like “Boo at the Zoo” while you can. It’s Saturday. [Details]

5. HAVE A STUPID LAUGH
Yeah, you’ll probably never see one of those artistically transcendent NC-17 movies in Boise. Whatevah. “Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa” is playing here this weekend. I’ll even buy the nachos, Beavis.
