Five Things You Should Do This Weekend

1. HORSE AROUND
It’s Kentucky Derby Weekend, and Les Bois Park is open. Head down Saturday for all sorts of Derby Day horse racing action. (Or wait till Wednesday and “Ladies Night.”)

2. HEAR VOICES SOAR
A cappella group Pentatonix blew people away on NBC’s “The Sing-Off.” Now they’re blowing the roof of venues like The Knitting Factory. Boise Rock School will appear at Saturday’s show, too. [Tickets]

3. SCORE SOME SUPERHERO SCHWAG
Coinciding with the theater release of “Iron Man 3,” Free Comic Book Day arrives Saturday. Comic book shops and bookstores will distribute millions of free comics. Find a list of Treasure Valley stores here.

4. DISCOVER DINOSAURS
Dinosaurs rule. I don’t care what age you are. And Expo Idaho is full of ‘em all weekend for a “Discover the Dinosaurs” exhibit. [Tickets]

5. CELEBRATE CINCO DE MAYO
When’s the last time you had an excuse to sip tequila on a Sunday? The Matador in Downtown Boise is the perfect spot. The patio is open! They’ll have tequila class/tastings on the hour from noon to 4 p.m., when a $10 wristband will allow you to sample 1-15 different types of tequila. Tecate beer will be on special. Another option? You’ll find an outstanding tequila selection at Jalapeno’s Bar & Grill.
