Five Things You Should Do This Weekend

When you aren’t soaking in a hot tub trying to recover from the Race to Robie Creek

1. ENTER THE LIFE OF BRIAN
Brian Posehn has written and starred in exceptional TV such as “The Sarah Silverman Program,” had roles in movies including “The Five-Year Engagement,” and directed at least one infinitely hilarious (and profanity-filled) Steel Panther music video. He’s also a funny stand-up comedian, which he’ll prove at four shows tonight and Saturday at Liquid Laughs. (The 8 p.m. shows are sold out but tickets remained for 10:15 when this was posted.) [Tickets]

2. ROCK ALL WEEKEND
The Record Exchange  in Downtown Boise is pulling out the stops for Record Store Day. There’s free beer tonight, tons of exclusive, limited-edition releases tomorrow, live music and a food truck rally (also tomorrow) and tons of other cool stuff. [More]RSDvector_2013-1

3. TURN GREEN
Edwards Greenhouse may be bigger, but North End Organic Nursery parties harder. Join the fun Saturday and Sunday at Idaho Green Fest, which will have music, food and lots of eco-friendly information and wares. [More]

4. LISTEN TO BLISS
New-Yorker-turned-Idahoan Calley Bliss moved here from Brooklyn about two years ago to teach voice and songwriting at Fresco Arts Academy in Eagle. She’ll perform originals and jazz standards with pianist Dan Cray at 7 p.m. tonight at Grace Place, 3008 W. Grace St., in Boise’s North End. Suggestioned donation is $10 to $15.

5. ‘SPANK’ YOURSELF
Girls night out! Musical parody “Spank” rolls into the Egyptian Theatre tonight and Saturday. Preshow cocktails start at 7 p.m., plus there’s a mixer afterward with the cast. [Tickets]
