Expert kayakers to hit Boise River Park

wave

Two world-class kayakers will work their magic on the waves at the Boise River Park at 10 a.m. Friday, July 12.

Dane Jackson, current kayak World Champion and USA Freestyle Team member, and Meridian’s Alec Voorhees, current U.S. National Champion and USA Freestyle Team member, will test out the wave at the park, 3900 Pleasanton Ave. in Boise.

Boise Parks & Recreation wave technicians will be adjusting the wave to create a hole for the kayakers to do various tricks.

Because of road construction, the easiest access will be 34th  Street off Chinden Boulevard in Garden City.
