Eagle watching has started in Southwest Idaho

South Fork of the Payette RiverI’m always on the lookout for eagles and we’ve already seen them along the Snake River, Salmon River and Boise River, and around Lucky Peak Reservoir and C.J. Strike Reservoir.

The birds winter in Southwest Idaho because there’s a lot of open water where they can fish and snagged injured or sick waterfowl. Lake Lowell is another good place to see them.

Idaho Outdoors will feature a story on eagle watching Dec. 19, 2013.

In the meantime, you can get a head start by watching my latest video: HERE
