Don’t worry, summer isn’t that far away: Updated

We have a winner! Nick Coe of Boise recognized (and how could he not) the world-famous fly angler Hank Patterson, who occasionally goes by the name of Travis Swartz to keep the groupies from tracking him down. Anyway, kudos to Nick for his sharp eye and good taste in web surfing destinations.

This goofy photo challenge came because we’re cloaked in a nasty inversion, so I made a quick trip through my photo archives to find the most summery looking shot to remind us that winter is temporary. Just gaze into the photo and think back to those hot days when a cool stream on bare legs felt as good as a warm fireplace and cozy blanket feels now.

In case you haven’t seen the world famous fly angler, here he is.
