On the menu Hamburger Jeff took Halsey to Big Bun on Overland for a cheeseburger and French fries
Notable: She wasn’t really interested in the French fries until they were dipped in fry sauce
It was a cold snowy day but Hamburger Jeff and Halsey decided to tough it out on the heated patio at Big Bun. Halsey was more concerned about meeting all the people than eating her lunch. She really wanted to observe and watch everything around her. A nice group of ladies loved on her and Halsey soaked up the attention. Once she finished her burger they were off to Petsmart. Halsey was eager to sniff around the store and made a few friends along the way. H.J. put her on the scale at the Banfield Pet Hospital located inside Petsmart where she weighed in at 49.4 lbs. Halsey wasn’t very interested in looking at the toys but she was all about shopping for treats and inspecting the bones. Halsey loved the car ride in fact she preferred to rest on the center console so she could see where she was going.
Halsey has been at the shelter since mid September and staff and volunteers would love to see her find a home in time for Christmas. Please share this blog to help her find her forever family!

Halsey- American Bulldog – Spayed Female- 1 year old- 47 pounds
Halsey is a gorgeous dog. She has such pretty markings! She’s a playful, energetic dog who loves to play with toys and tennis balls. She’s young and strong and is in need of further obedience training. Obedience Class would be helpful to her and she is a smart girl she learns quickly. She hasn’t had leash training, so she tends to pull. This should get better as she gains more experience and training. She’d be happiest as an indoor dog so she can be part of your household. She’s a loving dog that will bond quickly with you. Halsey still has a lot of puppy in her, but she’s physically strong, so she’s recommended for homes with older children over 10.
This lunch date was sponsored by the Vonder Haar Family. They recently discovered their newest family member after reading the blog post from October 31st titled A second chance at life http://blogs.idahostatesman.com/a-second-chance-at-life/
They were so thankful to find Buster formerly Tahoe they wanted to pay it forward by making a donation so other families can learn about these awesome dogs! Thankfully Buster will be spending his first Christmas with 2 canine siblings in the most loving home. Buster pictured below with Tucker & Gunner!
