Curtis Stigers’ last album, “Let’s Go Out Tonight,” was a beautiful expression of sorrow, filled with cathartic songs that spoke to romantic heartache recorded in the year after his divorce.
Well, things have really changed.
His latest, “Hooray for Love,” which comes out April 29, is a cheery — almost giddy — reflection of that tingle-to-your-toes love Stigers is feeling today — not only for his lady love but for music, he says. It’s getting great reviews and he is preparing to launch a tour to Europe, the U.K. and even a few U.S gigs. In Idaho, he will again perform at the Albertsons Boise Open, on July 18, and at the second annual McCall Jazz Festival, Aug. 8-9, which benefits the Shepherd’s Home foster care center.
