Conservative talk-show icon Glenn Beck in Idaho next week

Glenn Beck will  appear in Preston Aug. 29 to raise money to restore the historic Worm Creek Opera House, the Idaho State Journal reports.

Built in 1930, the Opera House doubles as a venue for live theater and film. Backers seek to raise $89,000 to convert to digital movies and sound, improve seating and repair the stage.

All 240 seats have been sold at $40 for Beck’s talk. But those who wish to contribute to the restoration may write Worm Creek Opera House, 70 S. State St., Preston, ID 83263.
