Monday is here, and so is a slew of concert news from local promoter CTTouring. Let’s do this:
- For the fourth year in a row, Rockstar Mayhem Festival will visit Ford (Idaho Center) Amphitheater for a day and night of heavy metal. The show starts at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, with four stages, 19 bands, freestyle motocross and assorted lifestyle booths. Here’s the official lineup: (Main Stage) Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, Asking Alexandria, Trivium, (Second Stage) Cannibal Corpse, Suicide Silence, Mushroomhead, Texas Hippie Coalition, Miss May I, King 810, (Victory Stage) Emmure, Ill Nino, Wretched, Islander, Erimha, (Sumerian Stage) Body Count featuring Ice-T, Veil of Maya, Upon a Burning Body, Darkest Hour, Headbang winner. The festival goes on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at ICTickets in the usual early-bird ticket setup: $29.50 for first 1,000 sold, $35 for second 1,000, $39.50 for third 1,000. After that, tickets are $49.50 advance, $55 day of show.
- Older, wiser but not possibly higher, Cheech & Chong are “head”-ed to the Revolution Centeron Friday, July 18 — and they’re bringing the band War. I am not making this up. Frankly, it sounds borderline awesome. In what will be the smallest venue on their tour (they recently sold out the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles), the comedy duo will rekindle their heyday in the 1970s and 1980s. You have to be 18 or older to attend. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at Ticketfly for $49.50 general admission, $79.50 VIP (only 100 tickets available; 21 and older only.)
- The Bloody Beetroots will perform at the RevCenter on Friday, May 30. The first 100 tickets will be $19.50 when they go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at Ticketfly. After that, they’re $29.50 general admission advance, $35 at the door; 100 VIP tickets also will be available for $59.50. Here’s a track they just cut with Paul McCartney.
- In the smaller but popular “Club Rev” set-up, hip-hop singer Hoodie Allen will roll into Garden City for a gig Sunday, May 25. Only 500 tickets are available, and they all come with pre-show meet-and greet-access with Allen. Tickets go on sale Wednesday at Ticketfly for $30.
