The Community Planning Association of Southwest Idaho education series continues on June 17 and 18 with Mark Fenton.
Fenton is an adjunct associate professor at Tufts University’s Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy and former host of the America’s Walking series on PBS television. He is the author of numerous books including the bestselling “Complete Guide to Walking for Health, Weight Loss, and Fitness.”
On Monday, June 17, Fenton presents “Speak Up, Act Up, and Step Up: A Call to Support Healthy Community Design.” The event begins with a reception at 5:30 p.m. followed by the presentation from 6 to 8 p.m. at COMPASS,
700 NE 2nd St. in Meridian.
On Tuesday, June 18, Fenton gives a more technical presentation, “Building Community Health with ‘Sticky’ Designs” from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, in the Ada County Highway District auditorium, 3775 Adams St. in Garden City.
