Gaub works in bacrylik (batik and acrylic), a method of painting with acrylic paint and wax on cloth.
My wife and I were down at the Saturday markets in Downtown Boise and strolling around when I spotted the trout paintings in the window of the shop.
His paintings are so vibrant in color and the fish are in states of such natural movement.
Gaub was born and raised in Montana. He has lived in Idaho since 1972 and taught art for 32 years at Mountain Home Junior High School.
