The spring clean-up guidelines are as follows:

Residential: Up to one ton of residential clean-up waste will be accepted without charge. Residential clean-up waste quantities in excess of one ton will be accepted for a fee calculated in accordance with the regular landfill fee schedule with a credit given for the first ton. Individual residents will be allowed only one free delivery of clean-up wastes. Additional deliveries of waste will be charged in accordance with the regular landfill fee schedule.

Refrigerators: Only one refrigeration unit will be accepted free of charge per residential customer, additional refrigeration units will be accepted in accordance with regular landfill fee schedule.

Tires: Up to four passenger car/light truck tires will be accepted from residential customers, additional tires will be charged in accordance with the regular landfill fee schedule. Tires larger than passenger/light truck will not be accepted.

Wood waste: Citizens are encouraged to participate in the Pickles Butte Wood Waste Diversion Program by separating their waste as noted below. Community collection sites are requested to provide a separate bin for their citizens to deposit wood waste into. The program diverts wood waste from disposal into the landfill. Acceptable materials are as follows:

Tree limbs, tree trunks and stumps, orchard trimmings, shrubs, lumber scrap, wood house siding, wood packing scrap and pallets, wood shingles without tar paper, particle board, wood fencing, painted wood scrap, chemically preserved wood, pressure treated fence posts, railroad ties, grass and leaves and treated landscape wood.

Metal: Individual residents who deliver waste directly to the landfill and community collection sites are encouraged to separate metal objects for recycling at the landfill. Community collection sites are requested to provide a separate collection bin for citizens to deposit their metal into.

Commercial haulers: Commercial haulers that are hauling normal business wastes will be accepted in accordance with the regular landfill fee schedule. Commercial haulers that deliver wastes from community collection events will be asked to provide a letter of verification from the community for each load delivered.
