Caldwell Mayor Garret Nancolas has selected Terrence Biggers as his recommendation to fill an open city council seat left vacant last month when David Clark resigned to take a position in Texas.
Biggers has more than 30 years military, corporate, administrative and managerial experience. His volunteer history includes 21 years with the Boy Scouts of America as well as many youth programs and has been very active in the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce, earning him and his wife the Volunteer of the Year and Ambassador of the Year awards.
Biggers is familiar with the issues facing residents as well the incredible accomplishments that have been made by the city in recent years, said the city in a press release.
“With it being such a short appointment, it is beneficial to have someone who is familiar with the process and can hit the ground running to help us get things done,” said Nancolas.
The city council will vote to approve the selection at its March 18 meeting. If approved, Biggers term would expire Dec. 31.
