On the menu: H.J. took David to Burger Time for a cheeseburger and french fries with fry sauce.
Notable: David was eager to place his order at the walk up window and even scored a few treats from the waitress.
H.J and David enjoyed lunch at a Burger Time picnic table. David was enthusiastic about dipping each and every fry in the fry sauce. For a young pup only 12 months old David showed incredible self-control as he waited for each bite. He was extremely gentle with his mouth and was willing to sit for every mouth watering morsel. David was a tidy boy and didn’t leave any crumbs behind he even cleaned up under the table.
After Lunch: H.J. took David for a long walk at Julia Davis Park. He approached the Boise River with caution but then walked right in and he loved it. David enjoyed all the activity in the park. He was curious and excited by the bicycles that would zoom by and he fondly looked at the families spending time together in the park as if to say, “I want that!”
More about David from the Idaho Humane Society:
American Pit Bull Terrier Mix – Male – Brown/White – 60lbs – 12 months old
David is a high energy guy! He is goofy, playful and LOVES toys! He would train well using treats as a motivator. He is house and crate trained, and knows some commands, but would benefit with some work with his leash skills. David does well with dogs his size or bigger, but should not go to a home with smaller dogs. Due to his energy, he should go to a home that has children over 4 years of age. This guy has great potential, and with the right owner to show him consistent love and attention, would flourish!
David was surrendered to the shelter by his family because they said he was too big! https://www.idahohumanesociety.org/adopt/view-pet/?petid=19568754
