It’s hard to believe that the last of four Boise State bobbleheads for 2013 is be released at Jacksons Food Stores Friday morning, starting at 6 a.m.
But then again, there are just three games of the regular season left: Wyoming (Sat., Nov. 16), San Diego State (Sat., Nov. 23), and New Mexico (Sat., Nov. 30).
Those who get up early to get their Buster Bronco bobblehead at the 2002 Broadway Store (at corner of West Gallaher Street) can get an autograph from the Boise State mascot, said Rich Levin, a Jacksons spokesman.
The first three bobbleheads of this season were: Shea McClellin, Jamar Taylor and D.J. Harper. Because there was such a large demand in the past for the bobbleheads, Jacksons doubled the number for each player to 5,000. They upped the number of Buster Broncos to 7,000 — so it’s possible that you’ll be able to buy one Friday, even if you don’t make it to the store before dawn.
The cost of one of the bobbleheads is $12, or $7, with purchase of two 20 oz. Coca-Cola products.
Levin said the chain has sold more Boise State bobbleheads this year than ever before. He said they hope supplies last through the holidays.
“We’re confident that if someone stops in to buy a Buster, they would be able to get the whole set,” he said.
One other Buster Bronco, left, was released in 2011.
