It’s going to be another good week to get out and enjoy rivers, lakes, ponds and pools in the Treasure Valley. Temperatures will soar but probably not into the triple-digits, according to the National Weather Service.
The high Sunday was expected to hit 100, though it was hovering at about 98 at 4 p.m.
The forecast shows temperatures in the high-90s all week, a little above the norm of 93. Winds will be light, though there may be good afternoon breezes. Good news for those who like cool nights and mornings: overnight lows in upper-50s and low-60s through Tuesday.
Skies in the Treasure Valley will be sunny and clear until Tuesday night, when clouds may move into the area. There’s a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the Boise Mountains Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
With these hot temperatures, officers over at the Nampa police department are probably glad they are now allowed to wear shorts. If you missed that story, check it out here.
