Boise State University Muslim Student Assn. hosts interfaith lecture

Boise State University’s Muslim Student Association will host an interfaith lecture, “Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, Brothers in Faith,” 7:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 18 at the Boise State University Student Union Building Special Events Center. There is no charge for admission. 

The guest speaker is  Ustadh Ali Ataie, president and founder of the Muslim Interfaith Council. Ataie has been both a guest lecturer and guest instructor at several colleges and universities such as Cal Poly State , UC Davis , UC Berkeley, and Cal State East Bay.

He holds a Masters’ Degree in Biblical Studies from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, (the first Muslim seminarian in the 143 year history of the school to do so), and is working on a PhD in Islamic Biblical Hermeneutics.
