Boise State men’s basketball nearing sellout; Bronco hoops, football in elite group

Boise State is approaching another sellout for Saturday’s game against San Diego State. The Boise State ticket office has sold nearly 11,000 tickets as of Friday afternoon. If the crowd for the Broncos’ home finale exceeds 10,000 as expected, it will be the fourth this season, most since 1988-89.
This season also marks the top average home attendance in 12 years. If 10,000 attend Saturday’s game, it will bump 2012-13′s average to 6,363 per game. Boise State is 13-1 at Taco Bell Arena this season, with the only loss coming in overtime to now-No. 12 New Mexico.
“It’s been terrific,” Boise State coach Leon Rice said. “These guys have been working so hard, and a lot of programs have guys who work hard, but maybe don’t get to be rewarded for it. With these crowds, it’s a reward for our guys, it’s tremendous.”
