Boise State basketball gets a few more points in polls; Drmic among top five scorers

Boise State junior guard/forward Anthony Drmic had 34 points in the Broncos’ 116-87 win over UT Arlington on Friday. His average of 34.0 ppg is tied for fourth in the nation after the first weekend of games. It also should be noted Drmic did it in fewer minutes than anyone ahead of him. He was, however, not named Mountain West player of the week Monday. Instead, Fresno State’s Marvelle Harris got the honors after a 30-point, seven-assist, five-rebound showing against UC Irvine. Here’s the current leaders, from ESPN.com:

Recruits who will join their teams in the 2014-15 season can sign beginning Wednesday. Boise State is expected to sign at least two — Texas forward David Wacker and California guard/forward Chandler Hutchison. Avery Woodson, a junior college prospect who visited during the Broncos’ Nov. 1 exhibition game, committed to Memphis over the weekend.
