Boise State on Thursday announced a home football game against Idaho State in 2015 and a home-and-home with Cincinnati for 2019-20.

The 2015 game against Idaho State (Sept. 19) fills the last hole on the Broncos’ non-conference schedule through 2018. The Broncos needed a home game and didn’t have a road game to offer in trade until 2019, which all but forced them to sign a deal with a Football Championship Subdivision member like Idaho State.

The 2015 non-conference schedule also includes a home game against Washington (and former coach Chris Petersen) and road games against BYU and Virginia. The Mountain West home opponents are Air Force, Hawaii, New Mexico and Wyoming.

Cincinnati, which plays in the American conference that Boise State temporarily joined, will come to Bronco Stadium on Sept. 21, 2019. Boise State will return the visit Sept. 26, 2020.

The 2019-20 schedules include the same three opponents: Cincinnati, BYU and Florida State, all home-and-home deals.

“We’re thrilled to add another home-and-home series against a high-quality opponent like Cincinnati to our schedule,” Athletic Director Mark Coyle said in a press release. “With Florida State and BYU also on the schedule in 2019 and 2020, Bronco Nation is going to have the opportunity to watch some great football.

“We are also excited to round out our 2015 nonconference schedule with a regional opponent like Idaho State. It’s a rivalry that goes back a long ways, and we’re happy to continue it.”

Boise State and Idaho State last met in 2008. Boise State and Cincinnati have not met.
