Boise seeking art for Whitewater Park Boulevard roundabout

The roundabout will be at the entrance to the new Esther Simplot Park at the corner of Stewart Avenue and Whitewater Park Boulevard, the project underway now that’s also known as the 30th Street Extension.

The Veterans Park Neighborhood Association, received a grant from the Mayor’s Neighborhood Reinvestment Grant Program for this project, will be involved in the art selection process, according to a city of Boise news release.

The chosen artwork will meet recommendations of the 30th StreetArts and Cultural Plan by Stephanie Inman (available through the Boise City Department of Arts and History). The roundabout is the focal point as the main entrance to Boise’s largest city park. This work will be the first art in a roundabout in Boise.

This project has a budget of $30,000. Applications will be accepted until 4 p.m. July 13. Individual or team applications are welcome.
