After a nationwide search and 65 candidates for a new executive director, the Capital City Public Market discovered the one they wanted was right here all along.
The market’s board of directors announced Thursday night they hired Lisa Duplessie to replace Karen Ellis, whom they fired in August. Duplessie has served as interim executive director in Ellis’ absence and was assistant director for five years before that.
The board also hired Melissa Nodzu, a Treasure Valley market veteran, as market manager. Duplessie credited Nodzu with building up the Eagle Saturday Market in addition to managing Boise’s East End Market at Bown Crossing.
