Boise Parks and Recreation experts offer April 10 landscape, lawn-care class

Dave Beck will provide an overview of lawn care. He’ll talk about turf grass growth, physiology, and cultivation strategies for different grass types common in Idaho. A crew chief and manager of Kathryn Albertson Park, Beck is responsible for the care and maintenance of more than 300 acres of turf in city parks.

Landscape architect Toby Norton will provide an overview of landscape design, including orientation, hydrozones, and proper plant placement. Norton has 15 years of experience in landscape architecture and project management.

A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.

The class goes from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., April 10 at the Boise Public Library Hayes Auditorium, 715 S. Capitol Blvd.
