Boise park restrooms to open April 12

greenbeltSpring is definitely here. A sure sign is the opening of restrooms. Restrooms in Boise parks will open April 12 for the season, Boise Parks and Recreation announced Wednesday.

In early April, Boise Parks and Recreation crews begin checking pipes, turning on water, cleaning and supplying restrooms. In order to protect the pipes and plumbing systems, restroom facilities are closed until the weather is consistently warm.

Portable toilets will continue to be provided at the Military Reserve archery range, Fort Boise dog park, and other selected park sites that experience a high amount of use.

Park drinking fountains are not yet operational. They are turned on when temperatures are consistently above freezing.
