Boise Open Studios opens applications for new members
Boise Open Studios, or BOSCO, is a non- profit volunteer group of professional artists working to promote and foster greater understanding of the creative process between artists and the general public. The group’s main activity is one open studio weekend per year. This year’s event will take place Oct. 11 and Oct. 12.
Open Studios also includes an
opening show at a central location and participation in activities like Modern Art (when accepted), and group shows at venues such as VaC, the BSU SUB gallery and Creative Arts Access Center.
New members are juried in annually. This year’s application deadline
is March 31, 2013

Cheryl Shurleff is this year’s juror. Cheryl retired in May 2013 after a 35 year tenure as Professor of Art at Boise State University. She was the Graduate Program Director for the MA and MFA programs in the art department from 2003 to 2013 and currently holds the distinction of Emeritus Professor at Boise State. Her work has been exhibited extensively in galleries and museums including the Smithsonian National Museum of American Art and is included in many private collections.
