Boise hopes for “bicycle-friendly” label, wants your help

The city is applying for a designation from the League of American Bicyclists that would recognize Boise’s bicycle friendly bona fides.

As part of the application review, the league wants the city to provide an anonymous survey to people who live in and visit Boise. Among other things, the survey asks respondents to rate the city’s efforts to encourage people to ride their bikes, promote biking to work and make biking safer and easier.

Here’s a link to the survey. The deadline for responding is Feb. 19.

If Boise wins an award from the league, it will be announced in April.
