Boise dropped to -6 overnight. Was that a record?

Nope, the overnight low in Boise was not a record — just wicked cold. The record is -19, and that was set in 1972, according to the National Weather Service.

Be prepared for another sub-zero night, as temperatures are expected to drop to as low as -5 in Boise. Highs Monday will be close to 20.

Boise received 2.3 inches of snow Saturday. There may be some snow flurries Monday afternoon, but that’s about it until Friday. It’s expected to be warm enough Friday that precipitation will fall as rain. Highs forecast to be in the 30s and 40s.
