Forecasters said Sunday would be warm, and it was a clear, sunny 77-degree day in Boise. The high Monday is expected to reach 70, but temperatures will cool down again Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
A system from western Canada will come through Monday afternoon and evening, knocking Tuesday’s high down to 58. That’s about 10 degrees below normal for this time of year.
Highs the rest of the week will be in the 60s, and the overnight lows will be in the low- to mid-40s. No hard freeze is expected. Temperatures may be in the 30s in parts of the West Treasure Valley.
The system coming through this week will keep things breezy — that means winds of 10 to 20 mph. There’s a slight chance of showers on Tuesday night and Wednesday. Rain is also possible on Saturday.
The highs next weekend will be in the low-60s.
