The Board of Ada County Commissioners invites the public to join them for Fishin’ with the Commission on Saturday, June 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Williams Pond in Boise’s new Marianne Williams Park.
Idaho Fish & Game will have their “Take Me Fishing” trailer on site to provide participants with fishing gear and expertise. Anyone who registers at the trailer will not need a fishing license to participate.
“We’re really looking forward to getting outside for this event,” said Ada County Commission Chairman Dave Case. “Fishing is always enjoyable, but seeing the excitement on a kid’s face when they catch a fish, that’s especially rewarding.”
To get to Marianne Williams Park, head east on ParkCenter Boulevard past Bown Crossing and over the East ParkCenter Bridge. Take the first right onto Barber Valley Drive. The park is at 3451 E. Barber Valley Road.
